Terms of Service

Effective: June 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Glendale AI, LLC (“Glendale AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a New Jersey limited liability company. By creating an account or using The Marriage Check-In, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What This Is

The Marriage Check-In is a private, AI-supported relationship check-in operated by Glendale AI, LLC. It helps engaged and married couples answer privately and start clearer conversations across four areas: money and legal structure, family and shared life, commitment and trust, and conflict and repair.

Each partner answers questions separately. The Marriage Check-In produces a written Brief based on both partners' responses, and paid users may receive additional conversation guides and a Marriage Roadmap.

“Inputs” are the responses, written answers, or other content you enter into The Marriage Check-In.

“Outputs” are the Briefs, conversation prompts, Roadmaps, analyses, and other content generated by The Marriage Check-In in response to your Inputs.

2. What This Is Not

The Marriage Check-In is not therapy, counseling, clinical assessment, or professional advice of any kind. No therapist-client, doctor-patient, or professional-client relationship is created by using The Marriage Check-In. The Marriage Check-In is not a substitute for working with a licensed therapist, marriage counselor, financial advisor, or attorney.

The Marriage Check-In is not a crisis service. If you or your partner are in immediate danger, contact emergency services (911) or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

The Marriage Check-In is not a diagnostic tool. The Briefs, Roadmaps, prompts, and other Outputs are personal reflection tools. They are not clinical diagnoses, legal documents, binding agreements, or predictions of relationship outcomes. They should not be used as evidence in legal proceedings or as the basis for significant life decisions without consulting a qualified professional.

The Marriage Check-In is not a substitute for professional care. If you are experiencing domestic violence, mental health symptoms, safety concerns, or any situation requiring professional intervention, please seek help from a licensed professional.

3. How It Works

Each partner creates a separate account and answers questions separately. No one sees the other person's answers while the Check-In is being completed. After both partners finish a section, the shared Brief may summarize what each person reported, identify where you align or differ, and name patterns that may be worth discussing. Free-text responses may be referenced, summarized, or quoted in the shared Brief to make it specific. Safety-related answers are handled separately and are not disclosed to the other partner as part of the couple Brief.

Sections are completed independently by each partner. When both partners complete a section, a personalized Brief is generated for that section. After all sections are completed, a Marriage Roadmap may be generated to connect themes across the four conversations and suggest what may be worth revisiting.

Your purchase includes up to three full Check-Ins over two years for the same couple. Previous results may remain available in your account unless deleted according to our Privacy Policy and product settings.

4. AI Disclosure

Briefs, Roadmaps, prompts, and related Outputs are generated with artificial intelligence informed by published relationship research and behavioral science. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or statements that do not apply to your specific situation. This is inherent to current AI technology.

You are responsible for how you interpret and act on any Output. You should discuss any important concern with a qualified professional before making significant life, legal, financial, medical, or safety-related decisions.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any researcher, research institution, clinical program, or professional licensing body. Our content is original work by Glendale AI, informed by published research.

5. Future AI-Guided Conversation Features

The Marriage Check-In may include AI-generated video or conversation-preparation features in a future release. These features are not currently available. If released, they will be designed to help users prepare for conversations with a partner and will not be therapy, counseling, coaching by a licensed professional, or professional advice. These Terms will be updated before any such features are released.

6. Safety

The Marriage Check-In may include questions related to safety or wellbeing. These questions are not clinical screening instruments and cannot replace a professional safety assessment.

If anything in your experience with The Marriage Check-In relates to your safety or wellbeing, please contact an appropriate professional or emergency resource. The Marriage Check-In cannot intervene in crisis situations, assess imminent risk, or replace professional evaluation.

  • National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233
  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
  • Emergency Services: 911

The Marriage Check-In is not designed to address or provide support for suicidal ideation, self-harm, active abuse situations, severe mental health crises, substance abuse emergencies, or any situation requiring immediate professional intervention. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource immediately.

7. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to use The Marriage Check-In. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

One account per person. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Shared, transferred, or impersonated accounts are not permitted. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

8. Your Data

Your responses: You own your Inputs. You may delete your account or available responses through Settings, subject to the retention and backup limits described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Either partner may reset the Check-In or delete their own account.

Partner disclosure: After both partners finish, structured answers such as multiple-choice selections, scenarios, or other response types may be referenced by name in the shared Brief to identify alignment, differences, and patterns. Free-text responses may be referenced, summarized, or quoted to support the Brief. Safety-related answers are not disclosed to the other partner as part of the couple Brief.

How we use your data: By using The Marriage Check-In, you grant us permission to use, process, transmit, and analyze your Inputs and Outputs to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service, including through service providers that help us operate the product, generate Outputs, process payments, host data, perform analytics, and support product development, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Anonymized data: We may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data from Inputs and Outputs for research, analytics, product improvement, and improvement of our AI systems. We do not intend for this data to personally identify you.

Deletion: When you delete your account, we remove your responses, Outputs, partner connection, and authentication credentials from active systems, subject to operational, legal, security, and backup retention limits. Backups maintained by our infrastructure providers may persist for up to 90 days. We may retain certain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data as described above.

Sensitive information: The Marriage Check-In is not intended for the storage or processing of Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under applicable law, and Glendale AI is not acting as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate in providing The Marriage Check-In. Do not submit medical records, regulated health data, social security numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive personal information through The Marriage Check-In beyond what the questions specifically ask.

Our aggregate liability shall not exceed: (a) for paying users, the fees you paid for The Marriage Check-In in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) for free users, $100.

No individual member, manager, officer, founder, owner, employee, contractor, or agent of Glendale AI shall have personal liability under or arising from these Terms or your use of The Marriage Check-In, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, these provisions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Glendale AI, its affiliates, members, managers, founders, owners, officers, employees, agents, and contractors from any third-party claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: (i) your use or misuse of The Marriage Check-In; (ii) Inputs or Outputs you submit, disclose, publish, or share; (iii) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (iv) your violation of any third-party rights; or (v) your gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.

This does not apply to claims caused solely by Glendale AI's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Binding arbitration. You and Glendale AI agree to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of The Marriage Check-In through binding individual arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

Class action waiver. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Exceptions. Disputes concerning intellectual property rights or claims for injunctive relief are not subject to arbitration and may be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
